Future incomes were mortgaged to these repayments, a clear loss of financial freedom.įinancial freedom in the mind of a young first time earner is the joy of not having to ask the parent for money. Boutiques, catering services, event management, coaching classes, play schools, activity and hobby centers thrived as families extended themselves to take a chance at entrepreneurship. Several households discovered the joys of micro enterprises.
